Good, clean, comfy hotel in downtown San Francisco. Walking distance to top class dining and shopping, and just around the corner was the cable car, municipal buses and the bart. The staff were genuine, friendly, and helpful. Whole hotel (bedroom, bathroom, halls, lobby etc.) looks like it's been recently decorated as everything is in a1 condition. The bed linen was fresh and clean. The bathroom had a good sized shower. Hotel has a list of recommended places to eat breakfast.
We had a room on the outside which was too noisy as the air con units make it sound like the window is wide open. The San Francisco Fire Department seem to like testing their sirens at 4am, so make sure you get a room on the inside unless you are a very heavy sleeper. We were jealous of our kids who had a larger twin queen size bedroom on the inside facing the courtyard.

Great location. Nice room with very comfortable bed.I Was only in San Francisco 18 hours after flying from nz so the hotel was a beautiful comfortable oasis after the horror of a 13 hour coach class (full) flight.
Little bit noisy my room wasw near elevator.

Free WiFi, excellent location, helpful staff.
Small rooms, odd furnishing. Very modern furnishing with very old doors, floors, etc. Windows open into a small courtyard about 2 meter wide, view of a wall.

The close proximity of a restaurant, shops and transport. The friendliness and helpfulness of the staff.

We thought that the staff people on duty were particularly friendly and helpful. The location is great for a sf family adventure weekend.
If would have been nice if there had been a bathtub in the larger room. I should have inquired about that ahead of time.

location
I was placed in a room facing Ellis Street. There was a nightclub outside and the air conditioning unit let in all the noise from the nightclub. It was unfortunate that I was placed in such a noisy room despite there being other quieter rooms available. I literally had 2 hrs sleep on the thurs night. I was informed the room could not be modified due to the building being listed.

I would have liked to be able to make tea in our room , there was only a coffee machine and no kettle.

Quiet room.
Stress music being played in the lobby and from speakers outside.

The location of this hotel was excellent. Everything was within walking distance; shopping, dining, BART, muni, trolleys, malls, even China Town was within walking distance.
I din't like that the room I booked was small (Queen delux) and that my tv only had a few working channels. The coffee in the room was not too good either but they offer complimentary coffee in the lobby and that was excellent. Advice: spring a few extra dollars for the upgrade rooms, it's worth it.

Location was great. Staff was more than helpful.
Reviews said that rooms were small and there was too much surrounding noise. Our room was great! Bed was huge and comfy. The only noise we heard was normal city noise. We both slept like babies after great days and nights out!!

Hotel Abri is an excellent hotel! I will definitely stay there on my return trips to San Francisco. I am a single woman. I wanted to select a hotel that was highly reviewed, not excessively expensive, safe, comfortable, and centrally located. From the moment, I walked in the lovely contemporary modern decor got my attention. The staff was super friendly and knowledgeable. My room was beautiful, sleek, and comfortable. I felt extremely safe in this location. This hotel is close to public transportation. It is a lovely boutique hotel!

Convenience to BART, Union Square and Market Street. I also liked that the hotel was very quiet, I rarely saw or heard other guests. Great luxury for the cost.
